РА у женщин в сравнении с мужчинами протекает тяжелее, характеризуется трудностями достижения ремиссии и более негативным прогнозом. Результаты исследований говорят о наличии взаимосвязи между менопаузой, уровнем эстрогенов и РА. Раннее наступление менопаузы характеризуется увеличением риска развития РА, а также трудностями достижения ремиссии и более низким качеством жизни. Менопаузальная гормонотерапия (МГТ) может оказывать влияние как на риск развития РА, так и на его течение. С учетом взаимосвязи менопаузы и других состояний, таких как ожирение, сердечно-сосудистые заболевания, остеопороз и фибромиалгия, назначение МГТ, согласно зарегистрированным показаниям, может быть одним из возможных путей преодоления резистентности к терапии РА.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) most often affects women, and the onset of RA often occurs around the middle age of menopause. RA in women, compared to men, is more severe, characterized by difficulties in achieving remission and a more negative prognosis. Research results indicate a relationship between menopause, estrogen levels and RA. Early menopause is characterized by an increased risk of developing RA, as well as difficulty achieving remission and a lower quality of life. Menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) may influence both the risk of developing RA and its course.
